Comfort food?

I've been reading some of the many many food blogs out there and on a couple of them there's been a competition recently for best comfort food. That started me thinking just what I'd consider to come into that category and realised that the list is quite a short one:

Butterscotch Angel Delight (has to be that flavour, no other will do)
Sponge pudding with syrup
Toad in the hole (though good veggie sausages are few and far between)
Tomato soup (preferably Heinz)
Baked beans on toast

So, what's your comfort food?

Boy, this took no time to think at all:

Annie's Mac and Cheese with veggies thrown in during the boil

Frosting covered saltine crackers

A big bowl of mashed potatoes with a bunch of stuff stirred in -- mushrooms, sour cream, tomatoes, avocados, broccoli, salsa...

But what is Angel Delight?

Angel Delight (http://www.britsuperstore.com/acatalog/Angel_Delight_59g.jpg) is a dessert mix, something doubtless chock full of all sorts of chemicals (I don't dare look at the ingredients list!) that you mix with milk and then it sets to a kind of blancmange consistency. Real childhood food.
