Comfort food?
Mar. 24th, 2005 05:30 pm
I've been reading some of the many many food blogs out there and on a couple of them there's been a competition recently for best comfort food. That started me thinking just what I'd consider to come into that category and realised that the list is quite a short one:
Butterscotch Angel Delight (has to be that flavour, no other will do)
Sponge pudding with syrup
Toad in the hole (though good veggie sausages are few and far between)
Tomato soup (preferably Heinz)
Baked beans on toast
So, what's your comfort food?

So I get things like soycheesy tofu with noodles. I'm not sure I'd call that a recipe, or that I have a name for it, though. Unless you want to call it "Xochi's Anti-PMS Phytoestrogen Delight." ;)
