You know, I'm living in hope that at some point in the near future people on my friends list are going to stop banging on about Firefly... I mean, I already have to tolerate the Atlantis blather but puh-lease! *sigh*

Jonas started my 'resist the new shiny' thing but the tptb-created hype around SG:A didn't hurt it any.

Oh yah. Especially since the hype around both of them sounded remarkably similar and barf-worthy.

In fact, perhaps if he'd not been playing with space cowboys the final seasons of his two previous shows might not have sucked so much at times.

Yeah, I was kind of wondering if that was the reason Marti got free reign in Season 6. I liked the first few episodes -- Tabula Rasa is pretty much the cut-off point, but the only thing that saves the last half of it for me is Spike getting his soul back.

I mean, wanting to do something a bit darker with no major villains is one thing, but turning your heroine into an abusive, manipulative bitch who acts worse than most of the villains she's vanquished in the past is something else entirely!

Season 5 of Angel is all I own and the only seaon I've seen all episodes of (gee, wonder why? ;) and I really like it for the most part, but from what little I've seen of season 4, I'm amazed they managed to HAVE a season 5 in the first place!

IIRC, Joss got involved again for season 5 but by then the rot had set in too much. Still, the whole Buffy mess definitely shows he should concentrate on one thing at a time...

I guess I just don't like being told what to think and there's been a little too much of that going on around certain things...

*gasp* You mean we should be able to think for ourselves? Gee. What a concept. ;)

I know, it's a radical idea and not one that's all that likely to catch on! :P

Nope, because it would mean certain people would actually have to put some thought and effort into what they're writing... How unfair is that?
