Wanted - touristic advice-type stuff
Mar. 9th, 2003 06:45 pmWell, it seems not content with a trip to sunny Ottawa (I hope it's going to be sunny, anyhoo) in the near future, I'm off to Atlanta later on this year.
So, any advice from those who've been on must-see places in Atlanta and environs?
P.S. How come it's cheaper to fly to Atlanta in August than it is to fly to Ottawa in May?

Date: 2003-03-10 07:54 pm (UTC)I managed to find this, but it's in Fahrenheit. They said 78.1F was average, with 89% humidity. (Texas is worse.) There's another one here that gives the average high as 87F and the average low as 69F.
Translated into Centigrade, that's 26C average, with a high of 31C and a low of 21C. But you probably won't have to leave the hotel, since all the con areas are joined by basement tunnels and "habitrails," and we believe in air conditioning 'round here.
There's also food. Whatever you do, avoid the evil Chinese restaurant down the street from the hotel; they are slower than dirt. OTOH, I know many, many good food places.
