Watching Behind the Mythology of Stargate SG-1 on Youtube (you can find part 1 here) and trying not to choke from laughing at it.

First off, could Brad Wright get any more fawning over someone in particular (no prizes for guessing who)? [To avoid nausea, just skip the last minute or so of part 1] Oh lord, they actually mentioned the movie! But it doesn't have that special someone without whom everything is pointless, so does it really count? *sends sympathetic vibes towards the SG:A parts of her flist, who will soon appreciate this even more*

Secondly, what's with the '8 long and exciting seasons'? Did nobody notice this minor continuity gaffe considering that they're showing scenes from season 10 in the actual show? I guess we shouldn't expect much more in terms of continuity though... Still, I guess if you pull out the entirety of season 6 and various crappy episodes along the way ('Avenger 2.0', I'm looking at you!) then I guess you probably get about 8 good seasons' worth. ;)

Thirdly, what is Mallozzi doing spouting off about what the Jaffa were meant to be? He wasn't even involved with the show for another three seasons! Jeez.

Well, isn't that a telling statement from TIIC? First they decided the Goa'uld were too powerful, so they created the Asgard as some kind of balance to that, but then why haven't the Asgard wiped out the Goa'uld? Erm, because it's not their way? Nope, it's because there's something even more powerful out there, in the shape of the replicators! I wonder if this line of thought continues... hey, the Ancients are more powerful than the replicators, but what if we have evil Ancients, surely they'd be even more powerful still? *headdesk*

I do feel for the SGA fans because there won't be Daniel to counteract Sam. At least we know she's in the Pegasus Galaxy which leaves Jack and Daniel back at Earth (hee).

Was it Michael Greenburg who left after the third season? I hope Mr. Shanks contacts him for introductions!

Who needs Daniel when you have the all-knowing one? ;)

And it was Jonathan Glassner who left, which must have helped with MS getting a guest role on CSI: Miami, since that's where JG is currently hanging his hat...

Who needs anyone with her around? No, wait, you do need other characters, because much like the Ori, she must be worshiped.

I don't think Glassner had anything to do with MS guest starringon CSI: Miami. I vaguely recall an interview with MS where he said something about being on the set and Glassner recognized him and didn't realize he'd been cast in the episode.

Glassner, who co-created the show with Wright, left at the end of season three.

Greenburg left when RDA did, because they're co-producers. From what I understand, Greenburg was the producer who was on the set the most, dealing with issues as they came up.
