Back to scenic Cardiff, then?

What I really liked about the two episodes I've just watched was the little nods back to Dr Who - the Doctor's severed hand (aka Jack's favourite possession ever, apparently!), time particles (and the use and abuse thereof) as plot device and so on.

And the male/male and female/female kissing didn't hurt either. ;)



Yes, my geeky little heart is satisfied and I'm looking forward to next week. It's going to be really interesting to see what the ratings end up like, and to watch the BBC2 ratings for the Wednesday night re-run. :)

When did the Dr lose a HAND? And why does Jack have it?

And he can't die? Does he regenerate like the Doctor? Or like Claire on Heroes? What's the deal?

He lost a hand in The Christmas Invasion, as it got cut off by the aliens. How Jack got hold of it is not made clear, though there's mention of the alien attempted invasion, as there is of something that happens later in the David Tennant series, which I won't spoil you for...

And apparently he got infected with the time particles as Rose did, when the Doctor regenerated. And apparently it's quite like Claire, since bad things happen to him and then he gets up again and carries on as usual.

So...does that mean Rose can't die either? She was *directly* exposed to the Tardis time particles.

Considering how utterly smitten Russell T Davies is with Rose, I'm not at all surprised she can raise the dead... ;)
