Oh, Numb3rs, how do I love thee? ;) But what's not to love?
Charlie looking mighty fine in his waistcoast and white shirt, as well as the stripy shirt, so kudos to the dresser this season! Then there's Don all angsty and worried and crossing the line because of it but with little concrete success (cue more angst). Larry completely losing focus and hitting reality with a bump, before aiding and abetting Megan. I love Larry more and more, in fact every time he opens his mouth. :) And let's not forget the David-and-Colby (because they really do make a pair, don't they, especially after last week's "do you ever get the feeling everyone's forgotten about us?") show.
I confess I was a bit worried when I saw Judd Hirsch turn up on the pilot of Studio 60, but then it turned out to be just the pilot so that was okay... though my hopes that they were going to run with the whole Larry-is-homeless thing in a certain direction seem to have been squashed. :(
Still, if the season continues like this, I shall be more than happy, not to mention it's a lock for me and the dvd boxset. When's s2 being delivered again?
And don't get the idea that I don't love Boston Legal as well. Denny really broke the 4th wall this episode, much more than the casual references previously. I'm ambivalent about the new characters, though I thought it was another excellent episode.
I was particularly pleased to see Brad getting something to do, though sadly it was a bit reactive. Still, it's hardly a surprise that he and Denise would get to play second fiddle if they're trying to introduce new characters - I wonder if these will last any longer than the previous ones? We know that even getting yourself in the credits is no guarantee you'll be in the show mid-season. ;)
Again, the season 2 boxset is out later this year and it shall be mine...

Date: 2006-09-30 07:34 pm (UTC)As for Boston Legal is there anything not to love about it? As long as I get my Alan, Denny and Shirley fix I can deal with some new characters since as you said who knows how long they'll be around :-)
