Five things I learned in Newfoundland...
Jun. 20th, 2010 11:36 am1. Moose were apparently designed by committee, as they have approx. 33% more leg than they actually need and/or can control at any pace faster than walking.
2. I will never complain about the roads in England ever again. Ever. We don't know what potholes are!
3. It is completely possible to fall off the vegetarian wagon where fish and shellfish are concerned (anyone who hasn't seen the restaurant menus over there does not get to judge me!) and then pick up being a veggie again with relief when you get back to civilisation.
4. That I am incredibly glad digital cameras were invented as I took hundreds of photos and would have bankrupted myself if we were still in the world of processing. Plus this way nobody gets to see the crap, out of focus ones, of which there were quite a few.
5. Icebergs are both literally and metaphorically cool. Pics to follow. ;)
