I notice that the bulk of shows I've not seen anything of are either 'classics' which were never inflicted on us (what is this Gomer Pyle of which you speak?) or are modern day shows that bug the crap out of me (words cannot express how much I loathe Will and Grace).

Thanks to blktauna we also have the beginnings of a Brit show version (http://blktauna.livejournal.com/166113.html?thread=587745#t587745) which demonstrates the significant difference... ;)

Yeah, you're fortunate in not having seen some of the older shows, I think. Gomer Pyle is... well, I loved it when I was 5, that tells you something. Mostly what I remember about that show is a dirty joke I heard years later. :) I notice on my list that with a few exceptions, most of what I've seen is at least 15 years in the past and often more like 20-30. Yikes!
