Watching season 1 Boston Legal while I try and summon up some enthusiasm to go to the chemists for more medication...

In episode 2, Brad Chase describes himself as 'a relatively junior partner', but that can't be right because he doesn't make partner until mid-season 2. I don't know a great deal about the hierarchy of US law firms but I'd always understood that people who weren't officially made partners of the firm were known as associates (with relative levels of seniority)? Anyone know more than I do who could confirm/refute this or have I just spotted a continuity blunder?

You caught a big continuity blunder. Although there's a difference between being a junior partner and a senior partner, but I'm pretty sure that this past season Brad simply made partner, which would mean he was a junior partner.

That's what I thought. Ah well, I guess it was just a throwaway comment early on so they probably didn't give it a second's thought when it came to using the partnership thing as such a big storyline the following season...

But if there's one thing Stargate SG-1 has taught me, it's that there's always someone who'll notice! ;)

Heh. Yep, the fans are observant. Especially with the advent of entire seasons on DVDs. *g*
