I said both, but if this were the U.S. you would be paid monthly, with a bit of a lag, so you would be paid by your old employer this month and your new employer next month.

The lag is worse if you're hourly rather than salary. It took me 60 days to get paid once. Gah!

You're confusing me, because I do get paid monthly, but I'm still waiting to get paid by my current employers for the three weeks in July in my new job...

In theory, I should get paid for 7 weeks work this week and nothing from my previous employer - in reality, who knows what will happen?
