So you're cleaning all the pollen off your TV screen and a genie pops out. In return for freeing her, she offers to grant you 5 changes to any TV show(s) you wish. With only 5 wishes, what do you wish for?
1. A second season of Once a Thief, rather than a 'did they survive?' finale. That means more Vic Ramsay running around in tight jeans, white shirt and a holster (you know it makes sense!).
2. For some reason, my second wish is to do with Voyager. I wish they'd done something with Tom Paris that involved using the antagonism they set up in the pilot ep between him and Chakotay, that had him continuing to search for redemption instead of turning into a prematurely middle-aged plushy cipher.
3. I wish Jonathan Glassner hadn't left Stargate SG-1. Not only did he write my absolute favourite episode ('Forever in a Day', in case anyone was wondering), the guy obviously had a grasp of all the characters in the show and as showrunner managed to turn out episodes that pleased the vast majority of the audience, a feat that's rarely been emulated since his departure.
4. I wish they hadn't left Magnificent 7 where they did. I wanted to see Ezra get some peace, having made the decision to commit himself to being in Four Corners and almost got himself killed in the process. Once again, after all that went on in 'Serpents' (possibly one of my favourite episodes of any show, due to the amount of scenery-chewing Anthony Starke indulges in), we're left with an anti-climax.
5. I'm a little torn over this one - I wish they hadn't killed off Doyle in Angel but then if they hadn't there would have been no reason to introduce Wes as a permanent character and then there would have been no sweaty dishevelled angst-boy running around with large guns. And the world would have been a poorer place for that. So perhaps my wish is that they could have found a way to keep Doyle and introduce Wes that worked.
