So, I finally gave in and phoned personnel today - apparently all that's holding up them sending me an official offer for the new job is my second reference not having turned up. I know it was done and sent, so I can only assume it got lost in transit - a copy is being faxed over...
So, rejoice with me for I have a new job! :)
Anyway, at the moment I have every intention that this is not going to disrupt my impending holiday/MediaWest attendance but if anything changes with that, I'll let the relevant people know. I have to sit down and work out the calculations for when I would need to work till to get the annual leave I need for that trip, but at the moment it's looking like I'll be leaving my current job late June or early July.
Of course, the plus point has been "no, I can't take that (nasty, aggravating and time-consuming) piece of work on from the person who is leaving tomorrow because I'm leaving in the summer". I wonder how many times I can use that line before someone sporks me? ;)
