graculus: (Thoughtful Daniel)

I happened to catch a comment being made on FX (and for [livejournal.com profile] innocent_lex, there's still a 'coming soon on NTL' banner on their website) that they'll be showing season 2 of Carnivale here in September. Yes, another 6 months time, thanks so very much. And meanwhile I now have episode 8 sitting on my computer waiting for me to watch it and they wonder why people download stuff?

Not to mention House and Lost and my newest obsession, Numb3rs, which I'd avoided because I thought the premise looked dumb and didn't know that a) it has Rob Morrow in it and b) that it's actually creative and well-written. *sigh*

Obviously FX are as slow to re-do their website as MGM. ;)

I enjoyed watching Tour of Duty without having to stay up till oh-my-god-it's-early, with their episode a day run. JAG rates a
meh' from me but you forgot Carnivale, which also rocks my world! :P

I know you know me well enough to realise Carnivale rates a yikes! on the weirdmeter for me. Have had no urge to watch it, thanks to the ads they show trying to tempt me in.

JAG is one of those things that takes no brain power, and that I watch to see something pwetty. I like the eps where pretty boy is in trouble, or captured by the bad guys, or behind enemy lines. I turn it off when Mac goes all pathetic.

Carnivale is really one of those things you need to watch right through and then you *still* won't know what the hell is going on. ;)

I've been watching The Shield as well, since I wanted to watch it from the beginning and they're doing 2 eps every Saturday. That's my problem with shows, I need to have seen them from episode 1 onward otherwise I can't get into them.

I watched The Shield for the first year, but, while the concept was enough to keep me interested for those first episodes, when a new season came on I found I wasn't interested enough to change the channel to watch. I suspect that's because I didn't find the characters all that sympathetic and they didn't really draw me in.
