Proof I am a packrat...

I've started clearing out the detritus, opening boxes which have been travelling around with me unopened for at least the past 7 years and maybe longer.

I expected to find stuff from my qualifying training (mid-90's), I thought I'd find some stuff from my degree (early 90's), but I didn't expect to find stuff from my A levels. I certainly didn't expect to find a copy of my A level Sociology exam paper! We're talking mid-1980's here, folks.

I have my high school graduation program from 1984. And my diploma, of course. It's framed with my other diplomas.

Framed certificates are one thing. Course notes and the actual exam paper (with little ticks against which questions I answered) are another thing altogether in the land of packrattedness. ;)

Let's see. I've got a box full of my diaries that go back to my first one, that I wrote when I was 12/13. I was so depressed back then, I can't figure out why I wasn't on medication long before. Oh. That was in the 70's. Kids didn't get that kind of medication.

And, let's see -- notebooks and essays from grammar school and jr high (I think) complete with covers doodled on with dragons and horses and other fantasy creatures. And lots of other stuff. In two or three boxes. Not much stuff related to college, for some reason. By then, I'd learned most of that stuff would be useless to me later on. But it was useful in learning how to bull-shit with the best. Yeah, baby.

Don't be too ruthless. It's fun to go back down memory lane once in a while!

I've carted this stuff around unopened through 8 different addresses at least, so I think if I was planning to reminisce, I'd have done it by now... ;)
