I was going to do a big update on various things over the weekend, having been running around like the proverbial blue-arsed fly last week, but then Livejournal went down and now I've lost my train of thought entirely...
Anyway, let's see if I can try and cobble something together.
I'm currently making the most of the fact that my ISP has yet to cap people's bandwidth use and downloading as many back episodes of a variety of tv series as I can get my hands on - this means (so far) the entire run of The Adventures of Brisco County Junior (including an appearance in one episode of a 13-year old Mercedes McNab who looks *exactly* the same as she does now, just shorter), House (for which
astolat is to blame, because I hadn't heard of it before), the entirety of Lost (for which the blame is wide-spread) and the new season of Carnivale.
Boston Legal may be next, but I'm open to suggestions. Anyone watching Medical Investigation? Or is there some other undiscovered gem I'm missing out on?
Oh, and while we're talking about Livejournal, what's with this anonymous meme? I really don't get the point of it - if you want to be randomly abused, pop over to a newsgroup, post something that isn't generally agreed with and I'm sure you'll get your wish, don't go fishing for it over here.
I mean, I *could* go spam the person who trolled one of my communities recently and ask him where his dick is, but what would be the point? Nobody is going to hear anything they want to hear with one of these things, because people will automatically use the opportunity to be utterly anonymous to be bitchy and vindictive - the existence of hotmail makes that a complete snap anyway, as certain people's behaviours during the SDJ period made more than clear.
*shrugs*
And in other news, speaking of SDJ, the website just got its millionth hit. :)
Anyway, enough of this avoidant behaviour. I'm supposed to be working on an assignment while my car is getting serviced (nasty juddering noise, sounds expensive), so I'd better get on and actually do something. Another good reason to move my computer set-up upstairs, so I can make myself work on the (internet connection-free) laptop and not keep going to look at other stuff... ;)
