I've been having that problem consistently since the weekend. Grrr. Not so bad first thing in the morning but by midday/evening, forget it. It's not even worth trying.
Um, you probably don't know me, but I just saw your user name in chaos_rose's journal and thought that it sounded somewhat familiar - and bingo! I recall squeeing over your SG-1 fics ages ago on some yahoo list or other, and here you are, on LJ, just like the rest of the thinking world:)
Anyway, just wanted to say hello, so hello!
And I think they just gave that poor donkey an artificial leg to limp with...
I'm so glad to see you're still in fandom - or should that be in plural?:) And it is a scarily small place! The whole of internet at our disposal and yet we manage to stumble over familiar people. I guess the like-minded are always drawn together, no matter how far in time and space:)
I'm more curious as to how I was mentioned over on chaos_rose's journal, since I'm very much a lurker in the HP fandom... ;)
And yes, still writing, much much slower than before but I hope that is reflected in the quality. It's just I write glacially slowly in other fandoms as well!
Oh, it was only your mentioning that LJ sucks like some really big sucking thing;) Evidently everybody's having as much trouble getting pages to open...
Haven't read anything SG-1 related for quite some time. I got sucked into LotR and then PotC and now it's HP with a growing attraction to BtVS. I know what you mean about quality - not that I'm still at the level you were years ago! But all that really matters is that one feels that one has evolved, even a little.
I was gonna post that it was just you, y'know, just for the hell of it. But then it took me so bloody long to get a reply window open I'm now really pissed off. Please shoot the damn donkey and get us back on our rocket ship. Okay, so it's never been a rocket ship, maybe more like a caterpillar.
They are doing techy stuff, or they did techy stuff yesterday and now it pays. Or something. lj_maintenance is a good place to keep up with this kind of stuff.
I'm deeply entertained by your post being bracketed in my flist by the lj_maintenance posts saying oops-- new load balancers not working; yay, new load balancers working!
