*laughs like a drain*

You know, there's nothing quite like posting a fic to the stunned silence of the list in question, knowing exactly what the response of some of them will be (horror at the suggested non-con nature of it, almost unwarned for!), while the others are probably barely awake yet.

Well, it amused me anyway.

Update 2/1/03: I have feedback! Go me! *g*

On the other hand, I've got the first snippet of RGBness on my fic lj. So there.

By my clock, you only posted the fic less than six hours ago, and it is a holiday. Give readers a break and a chance. I doubt anyone is in "stunned silence" over the pretense of non-con going on. Your own note at the beginning told me that wasn't the case before I even started reading, and I'd suppose most readers are savvy enough to get it beforehand, too. More like holiday activities is delaying your feedback, and maybe, unfairly, the fact that your pairing is not a popular one.

For the record, I liked it, liked the insight of Nathan's defensiveness and offensiveness being a cover for attraction. It gave what is basically a PWP, not my favorite kind of reading, some welcome depth. If you did wanted to shock or surprise your readers, however, you de-fanged yourself with your note in the headers.

I guess I'm just used to speedier fandoms. *g*

As for the warning thing, how much more vague could I have been without giving everything away? I wanted not to warn for my unpopular pairing, but is that really an option in this particular fandom?

Thanks for your comments.

I'm not a writer, but I wouldn't have placed a warning on the story at all. As for the pairing, I've seen fics in Mag7 that withhold the pairing, and I've read this list's guidelines. They're freer than most when it comes to giving authors options about warnings. Maybe ask one of the listmods?
