Oops. I forgot to give an update on the departure of our resident shirker, whose final day at work is supposed to be this Friday but who fully intends to come along to our team Christmas lunch next week so that he can effectively hijack it as his leaving do. Probably because he knows full well that if he actually had a leaving do, he'd have to pay people to attend - the collection and card for him is currently doing the rounds like a turd in a game of pass the parcel! ;)

Damn his odious, oily, smirking hide!

And in other news, only 8 more days at work before I break up from work till January 10th! :)

Perhaps you could have a quiet word with the waiting staff and explain that as it's Mr X's last day he's agreed to meet the booze bill for the meal instead of taking you all to the pub?

It's a nauseating enough thought that we have to put up with him, so I intend to ignore him and pretend he doesn't exist as much as possible.
