I don't know what the weather's currently like in the former colonies, but I just drove home in the first snowstorm of the winter. :(

Wow, where in the UK do you live? I don't like to talk about the weather, since I live in San Diego and it tends to annoy people.

BTW, I'm going to UK in May for the Creation Con. Any chance of meeting you?

I live right in the middle of England, about 30 miles north of Birmingham.

And alas, when you're in the UK, I'll be in exotic Lansing, since that's MediaWest weekend! :(

Well, we're coming over a couple of weeks before the con, so depending on when you leave for the US, maybe we can connect.

Sigh, we who don't have to deal with snow think it must be beautiful. We don't think about the downsides.

Not sure what I'm doing yet (hey, you've seen my holiday poll! :P), so we'll have to see how our jetset lifestyles coincide! ;)

That's not possible. It doesn't snow in England until January, at least. You must have been hallucinating.

It's been peeing it down here all day. Cold and wet. Not snow. No snow. It's not bloody January!

So, is this what we get from global warming?

I can refer you to at least two other people on lj who live within approximately 30 miles of me who can in fact confirm that (regardless of it not being January yet) strange white stuff has fallen from the sky this afternoon.

Ah, strange white stuff. That's probably from the explosion at the "Smash" factory near you. Big explosion. Huge.

We've already had the first flurries about a week or so ago. It didn't stay and it's about 12C and raining today but the this is only a bump should start really getting cold and snowing soon...

Heh. Chicago was about 60F today. (About 14C, yes?)

It snowed in Hertfordshire too. And I was amused to see on the news this morning that the most snow of the night was in the next village to where I grew up.
