Sunday randomness
Oct. 24th, 2004 12:09 pmI agree with
sithdragn - http://www.slapthecandidate.com/ is oddly satisfying! :)
And meanwhile I'm also appreciating the livejournal gallery thing. Since I've been uploading loads of pics for
danielpix to my webspace, it's nice to discover I suddenly have 50Mb more space to hotlink from!
In fic news, I've suddenly realised that after all my venting about how AUs in Magnificent 7 are the suck, I'm kind of actually writing one because I'm writing a story where Ezra (rather than Chris and Vin) saves Nathan from being lynched in the beginning of the pilot episode and then it goes on from there.
If only the were-raccoon stories hadn't scarred me for life, I could feel much less guilty! *whimpers*
More later if I think of anything else...

Date: 2004-10-24 11:08 am (UTC)For instance, I can't stand all the stories that set Harry Potter in a modern American high school - but I'm currently starting a story in which Argus Filch never became caretaker of Hogwarts, and seeing what an effect that had a half-dozen other lives.
Besides, you're one of those writers who could do pretty much anything and I'd still like it. Er...as long as there are no were-raccoons.
Can't wait to read your story :-)

Date: 2004-10-24 02:07 pm (UTC)I'm just stuck with this idea that I'm going to have to put lots of 'leave this story idea alone' labels on it, otherwise people might grab the idea and do bad things with it. Because I have an idea of how I want the whole thing to go and would very much like to do a story per episode, with the things I've changed for Ezra early on having an impact on how he behaves later in comparison to what we see on screen. But it might not work, so who knows?
Thanks for the kind words!
