Dude, you live in Scotland and I live in the middle of England.

You paid for second class post, not instantaneous matter transportation, therefore it's going to take more than 24 hours for the book you bought from me to get from where I am to where you are. Such is the order of things.

He's all 'it's not here yet!!111!!!' and I'm wondering just what he expects from second class post. ;)

Hey, why don't I just jump in my car and drive to your house and hand you the book for the £1.50 you paid for postage?

See, why don't I ever buy from conscientious folks like you? I'm on the other side of the equation where I hope to Christ that I'm ever going to get these posters that I ordered from Germany -- I paid quite a bit more than £1.50 for postage, and a good chunk of change for the posters themselves, and haven't heard a word from the seller since the purchase (which was a couple of weeks ago). I don't want to be a pain, but really -- just let me know that you sent the damn things. As long as I know they're en route, I'm fine. Sheesh. (Okay, rant over.)

What? You don't have instantaneous matter transportation in the middle of England? It's all the rage up here in Scotland. ;-)

That's obviously why us technologically-backward English types are getting wailed at then. ;)

Been there...

I got a "where's my package" e-mail last month from someone the same city and state as me. She seemed to think that a package posted in the same city (Atlanta, GA) would get to her PO Box the next day. Sigh...

(BTW, Graculus, hiya, this is Maclare. You might remember, we traded some tapes (I-man for WWW) a year or so ago.)

Hi there! Yes, I do remember and have had many happy hours admiring Jim's arse from those tapes... :)

You know, first class post, possibly there by when he wanted, second class, not a hope in hell!

Excellcent...I'm always a bit afraid that my tapes
will cause someone's tape deck to explode. I'm not neurotic, no....
