Stolen from... oh, I forget... *g*
Oct. 19th, 2002 07:30 pm1. A song you never get tired of, no matter how many times you hear it.
REM - Losing My Religion
2. Two artists you fell in love with as soon as you heard one song by them, and where you were when you heard it.
Elvis Costello. You know, I can't remember a time when he wasn't there... *g*
REM. A good friend of mine played me Green when I was at college and it was all downhill from there onwards.
3. Three albums that you associate with your high school years.
There are songs I associate with high school - the ones that the local radio station insists on playing on their 80's weekends (yes, high school started in 1977 for me, but went on for quite a while... *g*).
My album-buying proper didn't really start until I went to college, when my parents very kindly bought me a cassette player to take with me.
4. Four albums that you associate with your college years (or the ages from 18-22, if you didn't go to college.)
REM - Green
Elvis Costello - Blood and Chocolate
The The - Soul Mining
This Mortal Coil - Filigree and Shadow
And I still have all of these and listen to them regularly - I hope this is more a comment on the quality of the albums than that I'm stuck in some kind of timewarp... *g*
5. The five albums you've listened to the most times.
Yikes. How hard is this? Going to have a stab at answering, but I can guarantee when I post my brain will suddenly go 'hey! what about...?' and the little light bulb will appear over my head.
REM - Out of Time
The Pogues - If I Should Fall From Grace With God
Peter Gabriel - Passion (music from Last Temptation of Christ)
kd lang - Ingenue
Moby - Play
And I really need to get off to Nottingham and get a new cartridge for my hideously expensive turntable... *gazes sadly at her currently-unusable vinyl collection*

Re: The The....
Date: 2002-10-20 08:57 am (UTC)I need to get my turntable working again, since I'm now seized with a desperate desire to hear Matt Johnson growling along to 'I Saw The Light' and various other Hank Williams classics...
