The horror, the horror...

Yep, time for another jobs update - sorry folks, maybe I should create a filter, but then I'm not posting about anything else, am I? - since I had 3 interviews last week.
I've been logging my applications for the benefit of the DWP (since I paid in enough NI over the past years to deserve something from them, even if it doesn't even cover my mortgage) and just hit 75 applications since mid-February. Bought myself a ticket for the Scottish Falsetto Sockpuppet Theatre when they visit here in June to celebrate, or something.
Anyway, on to the interviews!
Interview #1 was for a job with the folks I am already volunteering with and was successful, though sadly it's only for relief hours at the moment and therefore only part time hours at best. Starting whenever all the paperwork gets processed, so who knows when that might be...
Interview #2 was more interesting, to say the least - first time I have ever subsequently lied and said I got another offer because I don't actually want to work for them. A while back I'd applied for a job where they asked for a hand-written CV and I discovered that this is because they expect you to do hand-written forms with folks - folks who might be working anywhere in England north of Luton, pretty much. Oh, and the potential payscale being mentioned was more 'it's this (low figure) if we employ you, it's this (slightly higher but still low figure) if you're self-employed', both still crap. Not to mention that it took me forever to get to their office, then they just wanted to tell me about the job and how great they were and not actually ask me anything like, you know, an actual interview?
Interview #3 was for exam invigilation at one of the local universities, so that was pretty straightforward though again, only sessional/seasonal hours. Still, every little helps?
