Goddamnit, why is plot so hard? Why won't the bloody characters cooperate?

Why do I have to keep biting back the 'your fic would be readable better if it wasn't one long unpunctuated spew of words that don't differentiate between speech and action?' since clearly the 'writer' has never actually read anything ever if they don't realise this without a slap round the head?

Writing is really tortuous sometimes. It's a great feeling when it flows well, but when you struggle for every word then I wonder why I'm doing it!
