And it's only Tuesday?

First time ever, today, I had to tell someone I was ending the phone call with them because I was certain the next words out of my mouth were likely to be "and you, go fuck yourself!" and I like having a pay cheque. *sigh*
Thing is, a couple of folks (the person in question being one of them) have been seconded to put a new system in place about how we get our work. This system was meant to make everyone's life easier and they've been working on it (supposedly) for a year. It came into reality about 3 weeks ago and I already want to leave. Twice in that period, today being the second time, I've thought 'I really can't do this' - not about the job I do, which is crazy and stressful but I'm good at it and enjoy the adrenaline rush of it all, but about the stupid system that has been imposed on us. First time around I just thought it was hormones talking, it was that time of the month and I was literally banging my head on the desk (it hurts, don't do it!) but now I'm not so sure...
First off, they didn't test it. They told us what was going to change, most of it sounded okay and some of it sounded good. However, some bright spark decided they didn't need to test it because (get this) Senior Managers Agreed To The Things That Changed. Yes, the people who don't actually have to use the system, agreed to stuff so it didn't need to be tested at all by the people who use it all the time.
Secondly, it's not being implemented consistently. Why? Because as far as I can see, nobody who is involved in it understands it in its totality. Despite it supposedly having taken a year to develop - I can only assume that this is a committee thing, with bits and pieces added by various folks with different agendas, none of which really hang together. So, when I start asking questions about the legal and ethical basis of some of the processes we're being asked to implement, it all goes very quiet. Like 'oh shit, we didn't think of that' quiet.
Still, that's probably not going to help me any with the overall message coming down the pipe which is 'give it time' (to drive me completely crazy?) and 'you folks are so unsupportive' (of people who have made our lives much more difficult). Bad us.
