For some reason, all the books I've tried to read have bored me so I'm currently working my way through the Vorkosigan canon as I finally managed to get my hands on it in its entirety and I know there's damn good fic in that universe waiting for me at the end of it all. :)

I've also been writing Mag7 for [community profile] mag7daybook and my Mag7 Bingo card and the following prompts:

Dark!fic
'Trail-stained'
'Meanwhile, back at the bath-house...'
'Ancient curse'
'Scars'

In TV terms, still loving White Collar and desperately waiting on the season premiere of Fringe. *shakes fists at JJ Abrams, Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci*

Due to the Sky takeover of various Virgin channels, White Collar and Leverage have vanished from my telly and don't seem to be likely to reappear. At the moment I've only seen series 1 of White Collar, but the DVDs of the second series are due out in January. If it's still not been on by then, I'll buy them. SPN series 6 is running at the moment (really, really late due to the same Sky problem) but it's still a few weeks yet before we reach episodes it's safe for me to watch again. And Flashpoint has never appeared again on UK telly after the first series, so I'm just constantly waiting for more DVDs to come out. I apparently have amazing patience *g*.

I'm with you on the overall boringness of books at the moment. It seems to be really difficult to find novels that are well-written, have original concepts (or at least original takes on common concepts), have interesting characters, and don't just deal in tired stereotypes.

I have no idea why it's taking so long for s2 of White Collar to be out on dvd but I highly recommend it if you don't get the chance to see it onscreen in the meantime. Alternatively, if you can cope with watching stuff on your computer, I have all the episodes as AVI files and could happily send you them on disc?

I am so far behind with Flashpoint despite the episodes falling off the internet truck to my computer it's not really funny. The downside about being able to get hold of stuff is not having the time to watch it all! ;)

Really, it's Sky who've taken over and caused all kinds of issues. I suspect they're reviewing the shows that they've bought and deciding which ones to actually go ahead with, but they haven't been at all open about it. It's just pissing off viewers.

The internet truck is banned in this house now (long story), so I just have an awful lot of patience. Thanks for the offer of the avis, but I'll wait - I have the DVDs in my wishlist in the 'out later' section. I've also started looking at programmes that I missed in the past and have started on DVD sets of those. It seemed like a good plan, but I've almost finished S1 of Friday Night Lights and have now found out that there are no more DVDs available in the UK yet - clearly the DVD creators hate me!

On Flashpoint, I had S2 brought over from the wilds of Canada, so I've seen up to 218 - Behind The Blue Line. I know there are more eps out there aired, and I know the US is confusing the Canadian numbering, but at some point I'm hoping there will be more DVDs.

Of course, this all makes it sound like I spend my life watching telly!
