graculus16 – Summaries – Do you like them or hate them? How do you come up with them, if you use them?
Hate. Hate hate hate. Usually I will succumb to posting a line from the fic, but I'm a bit torn as I don't want to give everything away if it's a long story and the phrase '...and then hijinks ensue!' (or alternatively '...and then they had sex!') keeps battering away at my brain, wanting admittance. Meh.

Date: 2011-07-16 04:41 pm (UTC)Do you find yourself easily selecting a line that sums the story up, or do these tend to leave you unsatisfied? I ask because I hate summaries too, but I'll do a one-line summary of the plot rather than pull a line out, simply because there's never a line that summarizes the plot, though sometimes they can summarize the point, or theme - but even then, I don't feel like any single line does enough in that regard to do justice.
