The weasel in question is much better, he's visibly put on weight and now no longer looks like I'd been starving him for fun and profit.

We went through the first tin of special convalescent food (£2 for a tuna-sized tin!), and then moved onto Asda SmartPrice chicken paste instead (19p a jar), which actually has a higher protein content. Anyway, that, mixed to a soup-like consistency, has camouflagued the antibiotics and other medication, which he's now completed.

*puts the rest of the chicken paste jars back in the cupboard, just in case*

Okay, so about these little buggers...

If my landlord okays it, I'm thinking of getting one. This is still very much in the 'contemplation' stage, but... what do I need to know?

Waldo.

Erm, that they can live for up to 10 years?

That it's illegal in some US states to own them, so that means road trips may be out of the question.

That they make great pets but they're inquisitive, persistent to the point of downright stubborn, that you can train them to use a litter box but they're equally likely to train you.

That you're probably better off getting one from a ferret shelter rather than a pet store, because then they might already be nip trained and litter trained. ;)

Anyway, for starters, you might want to try reading this:
