First off, am very entertained by the current re-run of Colditz, though I can't help being amused by the fact that one of the character's names is Dick Player - sounds like a bad porn actor name.

Secondly, it may be the case that the new version of Hawaii 5-0 is the gayest show ever to hit television but I'm just not feeling the love. Possibly because I don't find either of the bland white male leads all that good looking/inducing of sexytime thoughts or specifically because something about Scott Caan repels me. It could be that I associate him too much with the sleazebag character he played in Entourage (complete with the same sad hairstyle) ever to want to imagine him in flagrante of any sort.

Thirdly, been watching Haven and it's okay/entertaining enough but yet another potential fandom goes by the wayside. Oh well.

Fourthly, potential remake of Wild Wild West? The horror! The horror! This cannot end well. :(

I missed Entourage and I have to admit I haven't seen Scott Caan in anything other than H50. My friend keeps asking me which one I prefer, but I can't really decide, maybe because neither are 100% right for my tastes. Having said that, I love the show because it's fun, completely unbelievable, and the snarkiness and banter between the leads makes me happy :) Clearly I'm easily pleased! ;)

I wonder whether I would have felt differently if Michael Shanks had got the part he auditioned for, which Scott Caan landed. Because then, at least, one of the two would push my buttons... not really sure.

I didn't realise he'd gone for it :) I'd be interested in seeing his take on the role, definitely!

I've been watching Hawaii Five-o, and although I enjoy the mindless hour of television fun, there's nothing about the show that inspires me to find more online. I don't find the guys unappealing, but there's nothing that makes me want more, either.

Didn't they already remake Wild Wild West? And rather...oddly? And they're already thinking about doing it again? Huh.

I keep hearing contradictory things about Haven. I need to watch it some day...

There was allegedly a movie of WWW, which we do not speak of. I think Hollywood and the TV industry should have a complete moratorium on remakes of anything for a minimum of 5 years, preferably 10. Remakes are usually Not A Good Idea.

I haven't watched the new H50, but agreed, especially about AO'L. I was beginning to think I was the only one who found him bland and boring. Haven't gotten the squee over him since Moonlight.

Fourthly, potential remake of Wild Wild West? The horror! The horror!

Know that feeling! I recently read that a remake is in the offing of one of my most beloved movies of all time, The Thin Man. I'm trying to block it out of my mind. What's really sad is the legions of movie viewers who won't even think to watch the original, if they like the new one. "The Thin Man? Oh, that's that movie starring Johnny Depp." ::sigh::

You have to work quite hard to make vampires unsexy, but somehow AO'L managed it - Moonlight was only redeemed for me by his snarky relationship with Josef.

Remakes = Bad and Wrong. We need a TV and movie moratorium on remakes of anything that's been previously done for at least 5 years.

The one guy on H50 that I find attractive is Daniel Dae Kim, but, alas and alack, I see no squee-age over him. If MS had gotten the Danno role? I'd probably be all over Danno/Chin Ho slash, if there were any.

Remakes = Bad and Wrong

Agreed.

I'm with you on H50. I wanna play in the sandbox, but none of the toys appeals in the slightest. Alas.

I take that back. Grace Park appeals very, very much. *G*

I haven't been able to watch H50 because of Scott Caan. I don't see any attraction and he just looks like a doofus. I think Michael Shanks didn't get the part because he is good looking and a good actor and would have blown Alex off the screen. As it is, all the talk is about Scott so Alex must be a pretty block of wood on the show. I do feel sorry for Daniel since I don't think they are putting much attention on his charcter. Doesn't seem like I'm missing much.
