While I sort out my pics of Newfoundland, I thought I'd mention a little game/form of torture that was invented at this year's MW - for this, I blame Dr Sheldon Cooper and his plans for surviving the apocalypse:

"In here you’ll find emergency provisions: 8-day supply of food and water, a crossbow, season 2 of Star Trek – the Original Series on a high-density flash drive."
"What if there’s a disaster that destroys all the usb-ports?"
"Then there’s really no reason to live, is there?"

I happened to mention that quote to [livejournal.com profile] myfieldnotes, [livejournal.com profile] mrwubbles and [livejournal.com profile] penfold_x as part of my attempt to pimp The Big Bang Theory but that I wouldn't have chosen ST:TOS myself and thus a monster was created!

Your mission, should you choose to accept it - the apocalypse is nigh, you can only have one season of a television show of your choice on a high-density flash drive for future entertainment. What do you choose and why? Do you go for a great season of a series that later lost its way (Stargate SG-1, you know I'm looking at you!) or the only season of a show cancelled too soon? Do you need drama or amusement in the bleak days to come?

Ack!

I'm suppose to be studying, final exam is tomorrow night, do not make me think of this!

Still going for Once a Thief although I've revised that opinion a few times. I'm thinking Slings and Arrows the first season (although to be fair all 3 seasons would fit on a flash drive), but I'm still debating Dr. Who but which season? and then of course there is always Season 2 of MFU but then there is Sports Night and Merlin season 1 and...

Gah! Going back to studying!

Oooh, ouch.

I've been thinking, and, yeah, okay, I'm going to go for a wildcard.

The first season of Life On Mars. Because it has the ridiculous and the sublime all wrapped up in some hideous 70s' brown polyester.

Ooh interesting question!

I think I'd go for season 2 of SG1,the characters have found their feet, but not disappeared up the producers backside yet, and there are some really good stories. It has drama and amusement and hotness so win win!

If it wasn't hard, it wouldn't be worth doing (as the actress said to the bishop!). ;)

See, my problem with any season of SG-1 (and for me s3 just about nudges its way past s2) is that I know how royally it gets bodged later and just can't see past that!
