Date: 2010-05-09 08:23 pm (UTC)Been reading lots as well, but I haven't kept track...still, not as much as you. I scatter myself too much. I decided to learn to play violin. I bought a violin and violin for dummies. I like it. Everyone runs away when I try to practice (the cat is the first).
Have you read any 'steampunk' book, by any chance? I am looking, but not really finding.

Date: 2010-05-10 05:42 pm (UTC)The Affinity Bridge by George Mann, which I didn't like very much but YMMV (there are now at least 2 more books in the series).
Mainspring by Jay Lake, which was okay but not fantastic, imo.
The Light Ages by Ian R McLeod, which I didn't finish and is about a society run on 'aether' rather than steam so I'm not sure it really counts.
Mortal Engines by Philip Reeve might kind of fit, as it's about steam-driven cities. Great first book of a series, though I confess I haven't read the rest yet!
