Well, that's the first week over in my new job. I decided I wasn't going to post anything about it mid-week and save it all to the weekend, but so far so good.

The team (my new minions!) seem a good bunch generally, though one of them (B) has a contract that's ending in a couple of weeks and was trying to sound me out about her chances of staying on - I'd already been told by my boss why she wasn't being renewed and also figured out that I agreed with that decision by lunchtime on Monday. The worrying thing is that B thinks she's done well and doesn't seem to understand that her contract isn't being renewed because she clearly hasn't.

I'm now based in an area nearby that I really don't know very well, so I have bought myself an early Christmas present in the shape of a satnav, as I got fed up with getting lost.

That's it, really. Dull, I know. Pffft.
