The random woman who, at the Petrified Forest National Park (where it is not only mostly desert but also hot/sunny) this morning complained about the fact there were no paper towels in the rest room when all you have to do is go outside and wave your hands around for a micro-second and they're dry.

Seriously.

I messed up yesterday, though, as my distance calculations went horribly wrong and I ended up driving for hours on end after spending a couple of hours hiking. This was not well planned at all. Hence the poor guy at the hotel last night was going on about how he could have done me a better rate if I hadn't gone through Expedia and I don't think it was even going in one ear, let alone in and out the other.

Still recovering a bit, so I'm now off to have a nap and listen to the passing trains (I'm in Flagstaff, if anyone's wondering...). :)

One of the consequences of having frizzy hair, in my experience, is that you never end up using paper towel - because as soon as you've washed up, you look at yourself in the mirror and end up having to run your wet hands through your hair to try to smooth it out. :-P
