This week's prompt from
fannish5 got me thinking more than the ones about families and relationships and all that jazz: Name 5 things from science fiction's vision of the future that you wish you had now. These are things I feel that need little explanation... ;)
1. Robot servants (though clearly these need to observe Asimov's Laws of Robotics and not rise up and take over...).
2. Matter transporters.
3. Replicator units (the Trek variety).
4. Food pills (not all the time, but they'd be helpful as a standby for those days when you just can't be bothered...).
5. Personal biodomes.

Of course, having a handheld computer that makes our most powerful supercomputers look like calculators would really be cool!
