"Selectively edited the plot of 'Cyberwoman' into an amusing children's story about a pterodactyl eating up a bad robot to entertain my five-year-old."

(This, by the way, seriously backfired on me because I had to tell the story approximately fifteen times while on vacation, and my mom and sister kept coming in on parts like, "And then Jack squirted barbeque sauce all over the robot.")

Um... for the majority of this, I'll have to "Plead the Fifth." (The Fifth Amendment of the US Constitution protects witnesses from being forced to incriminate themselves, and I would so self-incriminate myself with this list.)

But this? "You were making up stories in your head [for] years about your favorite TV shows before anyone ever said the word "fanfiction" to you. After you found out what it was, a lot of your life made a lot more sense."

Great big yes to that one. I know I was making up stories at around age 6 or 7, and never heard the word fanfic until my early 20s. It was an epiphany. And my liking of hot and sweaty Apollo and Starbuck playing Triad in the original Battlestar Galactica really made sense once I learned about slash. *g*
