Great big yes to that one. I know I was making up stories at around age 6 or 7, and never heard the word fanfic until my early 20s. It was an epiphany. And my liking of hot and sweaty Apollo and Starbuck playing Triad in the original Battlestar Galactica really made sense once I learned about slash. *g*
