I now have a computer in my new office at work. So I will shut up about moving now. Really.

In other news, in addition to my book blog over on Vox, I've also started a goodreads account. Because there can never be too many books. Seriously. Also, my library is excellent as, if I order a book online and there is one on the shelf in the system somewhere, I have it by the end of the week. Dude! I can has the complete Lord Darcy! ;)

Now for some spoilery stuff, so lj-cuts abound:

Where The Middleman is concerned, I have to say I've been mostly pleasantly surprised, but it's real popcorn telly that doesn't take itself too seriously - my favourite episode so far being the one with Sensei Ping, though the boyband ep was funny too.

My only problems with the show are two-fold and both involve Natalie Morales - firstly that she's in the credits with her boobs sticking out in that ridiculous leather outfit that she doesn't actually wear on the show (the real uniform is more aptly described by her character as 'Hitler's smoking jacket') and secondly that her arms and legs are so skinny that if she attempted to give someone an asskicking she'd snap like a twig.

Meanwhile, if we're talking twigs then it must be time to talk about Burn Notice, where it does seem that Fi and Sam have been more evenly distributing the pies between them since Fi doesn't look quite as much like she's recently escaped from a concentration camp. I adored the whole thing with Michael and his mother in therapy but I can't wait for the Michael Shanks episode arc. Anyone know when that's due?

And there is still also much love for Flashpoint and its' inestimable Canadian Actor Bingo scores, since last week's episode had not only Ben Bass (what hasn't he been in?) looking extremely scruffy but tasty with it, but the kid who was Colm Feore's son in Bon Cop, Bad Cop. And despite the fact it was much less deliberately tear-jerking than the previous week (apart from the amusing punishment-by-Tim-Hortons for the newbie), I found this one much more moving.

I'm seriously considering junking my Sky subscription because I watch so little telly and one of those Freeview boxes would do just fine for my occasional forays into it, unless things dramatically improve in September. What with one of those gizmos, my dvds and the internet truck, I'm pretty much set.

Hope you don't mind. ;)

About Wendy Watson's catsuit, hold that thought (http://www.abcfamilymedianet.com/web/display/display_main.aspx?global_id=3116293&leftcol=links) (CASTING SPOILER in that link).

And I heard that Michael Shanks will start his arc on Burn Notice in Episode 6, which should be in two weeks!

The stupid catsuit being in the credits still makes little sense, other than in a testosterone-baiting way, given that it's apparently what she wears in just one episode? I hope, because seriously I prefer the smoking jacket look immensely.

Also, episode 6? Excellent! :)

Heh, Middleman is a bunch of fun, when I get a chance to sit down and gander at it with my 12 year old daughter, who also likes it (although she can't seem to finish sitting through an episode).

I like how the roommate is rounding out, too.

Now, WTF is it with the USA version of Life on Mars, huh? Colm Meany, gone? Not that I don't like the replacement for Colm...but...WTF?

I'm not sure why they're even bothering to call it Life on Mars, given that they're apparently also planning to mess with the mythology so they can run the storyline longer? It'll make even less sense now...

If you drop the Sky subscription, you don't even need to get a Freeview box. The Sky box keeps working and gives you all the free channels anyway.
