It feels like I've been away forever! :P
Anyway, I got home about 10am UK time this morning, though it would have been earlier if we hadn't spent 45 minutes waiting on the plane at Toronto for them to get the right number of meals onboard, then 2 hours to get out of the airport this end. Seriously, we spent over an hour waiting for our luggage.
Still, the order of proceedings for today was to get home, put the first lot of washing on, eat and then sleep, before starting to unpack properly. I slept for about 6 hours, which means I don't feel too bad now, and am currently catching up on downloads (particularly as a power cut meant my vcr didn't record Dr Who!) and eating pretend-chicken burgers.
Tomorrow, I need to pick up the kids, sort out a quote or two to have my back fence replaced (it was looking dicey before I left, so it was no suprise to come back and see it's collapsed completely), book my car in for a service and generally start to get everything ready for going back to work next week. Oh, and fix my laptop, which got sporked by an upgrade into not recognising the soundcard, which meant I couldn't watch any episodes of anything at the airport. :(
Final Tim Hortons update for 2008: maple dip (nice, thanks to
przed for recommending this was one that wouldn't make my teeth itch just by looking at it), apple fritter (apple? where? still nice and probably ideal if you're trying to convince yourself you're eating fruit), chocolate glaze (nice donut, shame about the glaze), toffee glaze (ditto), banana-nut muffin (still the same problem, too fresh = lose a chunk of it on the case).
