I just arrived back at my hotel from the world's most fruitless whale watching trip (dude, are you sure there are whales out there somewhere?) to find a package waiting for me, courtesy of the lovely [livejournal.com profile] obelix, to whom I probably now owe one of my kidneys. Woo and indeed yay! *smooches [livejournal.com profile] obelix*

Other than my trip out, I am currently the picture of indolence. There is a big supermarket a couple of blocks from the hotel, where I have stocked up on all sorts of munchies and I've been spending a lot of my time either sleeping (like a rock!) or lazing about and reading the e-books I brought with me. RL bookstores await tomorrow, with more adventurous business planned for after the weekend.

I also had to buy sunscreen. For Nova Scotia! This was something of a surprise... however, the forecast for Sunday onwards is rain and I did bring my umbrella! ;)

Tim Hortons update: honey dip (yum), sour cream plain (glazed are better), chocolate danish (distinctly underwhelming).

The whale is a lie.

Chocolate danishes just sound wrong, and was there actual honey in the honey dip? If there was not it, the donut was a lie too!

So bored. So very very bored

Chocolate danishes can be very nice, if fresh enough (which this one didn't seem to be) and I don't know about the involvement of honey in the honey dip donut but it was very nice and therefore I am taking Tim Hortons at its word...

Also, whales are real, in a more general sense, since I saw some last year off Boston. So at least they were real in 2007. ;)

YAY It got there :-)

And darn that the whales weren't playing :-(

Yep sour cream are better glazed and I've never tried the chocolate danish since I'm usually trying the maple one instead ;-)

Not sure if you owe me a kidney maybe just half of one...

It could be between half and two-thirds of a kidney, depending on the current exchange rate... ;)
