Separation of church and state (kind of)

I tend to keep work and the rest of my life very separate, to the extent that nobody at work knows what kind of things I get up to in my private life - I think I've commented to some people that I'd have less difficulties being gay at work than writing gay pr0n, so I just don't talk about being a fan.

Hence some subterfuge going on at the moment. Essentially, everyone at work thinks I'm spending a week in Toronto (visiting friends, hello przed!) and then travelling to Nova Scotia on an unspecified date. The majority of what they know is that I was going to Toronto on the 18th and get back to work on June 9th.

I don't tend to email work much, but ended up promising that I would reassure them I had arrived okay (email on Sunday with attached photo of the view from my hotel room window including the CN tower) and have just emailed from Lansing telling them I spent the day at a museum and then went with my friend to a nice vegan restaurant, complete with photo of something I saw in the museum. Heh. Well, I did go to the restaurant and I did go to the museum, just not yesterday!

obelix says she will never trust me again, but she's in the next bed so she ought to be careful... Mwahahaha!

Oh, I'm definitely going (and looking forward to it immensely...) - we leave Lansing on Tuesday and I fly to Halifax on Wednesday morning! :)

I took a random selection of pictures featuring the CN tower while I was in Toronto, so I figure I'm all covered till I get to Nova Scotia now...
