Apportioning blame...

In the spirit of the season, I thought I'd take a moment to apportion some blame for the sorry state of fannish obsessiveness I find myself in nowadays. Who knows, it could catch on? ;)

Things I can't blame anyone for:

Man from UNCLE - unless it's my mother, for letting me watch it when I was 8. However, obelix hasn't helped any!

Stargate SG-1 - it just came along at the wrong time and caught me unawares. Little did I know that watching a simple show would lead to me becoming one of the Evil Bad Fans I never even knew existed way back then! *waves to nausica2, xochiquetzl and obelix, among others...*

Nero Wolfe - a long-standing obsession, only 2 books to go till the complete series is mine! Mwahahaha! I'd like to blame dmarley but I don't have a time machine...

Aubrey/Maturin - again, I fell for those two long before I knew such a thing as slash existed...

Magnificent 7 - once again, the right characters at the right time, resistance was futile!


Things I can definitely blame someone for:

Wild Wild West - all the fault of that przed and her fellow talented UNCLE writers, who led me astray...

Real Ghostbusters - this time the blame must be laid with zortified, without whom I would never have thought of cartoon characters that way! ;)

Hong Kong movies - *scowls meaningfully at blktauna* It was downhill all the way, once the ho hengdai got a mention.

Harry Potter - it's all the fault of people like predatrix, lexin, dementordelta that I've read so much HP slash in the past year or so.

Dead Zone - I would never have watched that if it wasn't for xochiquetzl and her persuasive ways! Damn her!


Who knows what 2004 will bring? :)

Don't get too excited, I'm not that much of a challenge!

Not that this should stop you producing copious amounts of Harry/Snape smut, though - who knows, I could become resistant over time! ;)

Well, I'm not sure I'd make all that good a minion, I tend to get bored and wander off if distracted by something.
