Dec. 26th, 2007 05:41 pmAnd now, thanks to an excellent HP fic I just read (thank you
ac1d6urn and
sinick, I should have realised without the reveal who might be to blame...), I have 'Lydia the Tattooed Lady' on the brain, though fortunately I am not doing the Groucho dance that goes with it. ;)
Yes, the majority of the holiday period has been employed reading copious amounts of fic - mostly HP porn - until my brain dribbles out of my ears. Which doesn't usually take that long. Funny, I've not been as impressed with the overall quality of the Snape/Lupin I've read (with a couple of honourable exceptions) from the various fests as I have with the Snape/Harry. I may, however, be alone in that... Or maybe it's just that I loathe the bloody epilogue so much, in so many ways, that I'm more than happy to go along with anything that debunks it? I don't think my tolerance level for pap is affected, but who knows? I managed to spot that fest's
dementordelta fic straight away, too! :P
In other news, I have to actually leave the house tomorrow, not for anything glamourous but to buy a new curtain rail. Apparently they have a half-life, who knew? Or at least the plastic bits that attach them to the wall do, as three of the four on one particular rail snapped at the same time, literally leaving me holding thebaby curtain, rail and all.
