First off, is it International Let's Try And Out-stupid Mohinder month or something? Jeez.

Secondly, the plot twist de jour seems to me to have a major blindingly obvious problem. You know the one, the whole 'let's inject Claire's magic blood into dead people and it will miraculously bring them back to life' thing that's been used twice over (though I'm not quite sure why they had to bother with Maya but still...).

I'm not sure how that's supposed to work when people are actually dead because the thing that would be circulating the magic blood isn't working any more, so how does the magic blood get to anywhere in the body that it needs to heal in the first place? In theory, I suppose if you stabbed someone in the heart with a needle and injected the magic blood straight into the heart then that could kick-start the circulatory system, but I don't get how the needle into the arm is supposed to result in anything other than a puddle of magic blood.

Theories, anyone? I know there's at least one medical person reading this, so any thoughts from them or is it just suspend-my-disbelief-from-a-crane time? ;)

In other news, not like you care, the cold is definitely settling in for the long haul. Need more aspirin. *sigh*

The big storyline this season was supposed to be the virus, I guess, but they admitted to making a mistake in bringing it in so late.

They went for a slow build again, introducing new characters we really didn't need at the time, when they should have hit the ground running. I wouldn't have minded the new characters (and do like Monica, even if I don't know where she fits into the "big picture"), if they'd been woven into the storyline and not just there. Did we really need to see a demonstration of Maya's powers over and over? We kind of got it the first time.

I assume Nikki is still dying, given the fact nobody has bothered to go and save her yet?

I've heard rumors the actress wanted out of the show, but that's just speculation. If that's the case and TPTB knew it in advance, it really bothers me they killed off D.L. too and now Micah's an orphan. But I have to wonder about the whole "virus = death" thing. Apparently the company injected Sylar with it too, but if they knew it would kill him, why'd they save him in the first place? Was it just to buy time for a cure, thinking they could learn to control him?

And Ando needs to come back from Japan, because it's just not the same without him trailing around with Hiro, even if the guy who played Adam was smoking. :)

At least they did figure out a way for Hiro to communicate with Ando, but it just wasn't the same. What would have been really amusing is if Ando had managed to hitch a ride back to the past with Hiro.

Matt and Nathan have been the sharp cookies this year, figuring out they had really, really bad parents and getting over the daddy/mommy issues. And the snark doesn't hurt either. Now if they can just get Peter and Mohinder to wise up, I'll be happy. After what they went through last season, I just can't believe how those two are acting, especially Peter. But snaps to Mohinder for trying to stab Sylar. I also really like it when Mohinder and Matt go all overprotective dad with Molly, but I'd like to see them working on that together please, and not just because it makes my slashy heart go squee. Molly is not a timeshare.

I do think Peter's blood would do the same thing, but I think he's probably in shock and wouldn't think about it. I'm thinking maybe Matt should call Mohinder after they get to the hospital (or vice versa) and Mohinder can give them the idea to try it. Claire's power will end up saving both of her dads, if only indirectly.
