graculus: (Charlie - WTF?)

Well, I don't know about anyone else, but here in the middle of England it is currently snowing...

If this is a portent of things to come, along with Dougal's big furry coat, it's making me more and more glad I've bought a new car! ;)

It's not snowing in Chicago yet, but Gaia is HUGELY fluffy. So let's hope that's not some kind of warning. Though, honestly, I think it's the melatonin for her presumptive adrenal... so... *shrug*

Have fun with the new car. I'm about to experience my first winter in mine (got it last spring), so it'll be an adventure in learning how it handles.

I'm more convinced that the fluff means something for mine because they live outside... *waits for howls of outrage about mean ferret owners* ;)

Oh, fair point. And also... I think my ferrets would love more time in the cold and the snow. And your summers don't typically get as warm as ours. So... meh. They seem to be alive and thriving so you're doing something right. :)

It's supposed to be better for them health-wise in terms of that it's less time under just artificial light, given that they're outdoors during the day (well, as much as they're awake) as well as being in the house when I'm home from work after it's dark, if that makes any sense...?

As for the snow, I don't think any fell at the right time for the kids to get the advantage of it last year, but this winter we'll see!

I have a friend who is in town from the mid-west (here in the US) and he says that the horses all look like fuzzballs, their winter coats have grown in so thick. Methinks we're ALL going to be in for a harsh winter.

LOL! I don't suppose you'd mind one of those to help keep you warm all winter long? ;)

Just raining some more in Oxfordshire :(
even though the forecast predicted a little of the snow stuff here.

My best thought is I don't have to go out in the cold and wet tomorrow since I'm taking a day's leave from work.

You didn't miss much but at least it didn't rain till I was driving home from work...

Only if you can arrange for someone like Nick Lea to turn up wearing those and nothing else... ;)

Heh!

If I could do that, he'd be making a pit stop at my house first ;-)

I was most surprised to hear talk of snow on the radio on Sunday: it was raining in Southampton when I left, and again in Edinburgh when I landed. All the snow must have been in the middle.
