Journeyman: You know, I'm not really sure what to make of this show. Kevin McKidd was excellent, but sadly the casting of the two female characters meant that I was left wondering which cookie cutter they'd popped out of. Were there only tall, thin, long-haired brunette actresses of a certain age willing to wear very little clothing left by the time they got around to this show? Let's have a little less gratuitous skin, at least from the distaff side of the cast, in future episodes shall we?

As for the overall premise, once I'd managed to ignore the way they were apparently playing the 'selfish career woman opts for abortion' card (for once couldn't we have 'woman thinks man is too childish or crazy to be a father'?), it's interesting enough. However, they seem to skim over the fact that McKidd's character created the situation he then ended up resolving with the crazy dad twice over, once by saving his life and then again by eavesdropping and interfering with whatsersocks. No consequences for that, or even a pang of conscience? Hmm.

Not my cup of tea, I'll give it one more go but if it doesn't improve (and yes the depiction of the women in that show is awful) I'm out of there...

I've seen worse, but if it weren't for Kevin McKidd being in it then I doubt I would have stuck it out to the end - maybe it'll improve, and certainly the women can't get much worse... *crosses fingers*

It's one of those shows that I want to like, but I just don't think I will. I like McKidd, but the rest was pretty much paint-by-numbers. I'll give it another try, since it's on after Heroes, and see if it improves.

Was it just me or did Reed Diamond have a perpetual 'wtf am I doing here, I used to be on Homicide!' expression on his face? ;)

I thought most of the actors had a "wtf am I doing here" expression. ;)

Except for at least one of the women who were doing the old 'let me show emotions by opening my eyes really big' schtick. Obviosuly this method is taught outside Vancouver... ;)

I wasn't paying close attention so originally I thought they were both the same character. *g*

I'm not sure what I think of this show either. I'll probably watch it again, since now I'm seriously lacking in shows that I want to watch.

Well, he clearly has a 'type'. And so does his brother, poor chap. Always the bridesmaid... ;)
