Getting off the motorway, I phoned the police to report a lorry I'd just seen that was weaving about all over the place. "We've already had a couple of calls about this," the nice man answering the phone said. I barely restrained myself from answering "no shit, Sherlock" and gave a full description of the lorry, its registration number and owners logo, not to mention what it had been doing. Apparently till then the best people were managing to come up with was 'a green lorry', so I got a cheery "thanks for calling!" and was back on my way home.

How pitiful is it that I had to borrow money off someone at work because I'd left my wallet at home and all I could think of was the poor starving weasels, eking out their last few bits of food while they waited for me to come home via the petfood store? ;)

In other news, this will be the week my 'unlimited' broadband gets its first proper workout since the end of the last television season, as most of the shows I want to see premiere this week. I wonder how many of the new ones will make it to October where I'm concerned, or indeed where the network is? Place your bets, ladies and gentlemen - which of the following new ones will not live to see the end of the season? Our contestants are: Big Shots, Bionic Woman, Cane, Cashmere Mafia, Cavemen, Dirty Sexy Money, Journeyman*, Life*, Moonlight*, Private Practice, Pushing Daisies*, Reaper, Viva Laughlin, Women's Murder Club.

Let me know if any of those are good. I'll take a peek at Dirty, Sexy, Money and Women's Murder Club and I might if I find it check out Bionic Woman.

I've already seen enough of Reaper, Cavemen to know I won't be watching.

I wasn't planning on watching any of the new shows this season, but I accidentally watched the premier of Journeyman tonight. I am mildly intrigued.
