Yeah, it was a real shock. I was just about to mail her about arrangements for January and went to the website because I'd lost her email address, only to find an announcement from her husband.
He basically said he couldn't imagine carrying on without her, which I can understand since she basically did ferret rescue full-time and he worked. I don't know how many ferrets they have in at the moment, but they had over 20 of their own and whatever ones they were looking to rehome, so I guess they'll take some time to wind things down completely, between him and their grown-up daughter.
