Yep, it's snarl time again. This month I have four things to complain about:

1. People who post to a list and then promptly begin to complain that there just isn't enough fic for them to read in that fandom. Like everyone somehow *owes* them fic, or is just not posting to spite them, or something. Morons.

2. People who post lengthy multi-part stories to automated archives. Particularly if those parts are approximately 6kb in length and barely represent a chapter. Post the damn thing as a whole! Delayed gratification is your friend!

3. People whose opinion is 'but if you're a fan of the show you should be loyal and say nice things about every episode even if it sucks'. No. That's not how it works in the real world, dearie. If something is good, then say nice things - if something sucks, then honesty is still the best policy.

4. Getting feedback (about your story concerning Y) that essentially says 'had you considered a sequel where [insert fanfic cliche] happens?'. No, because if I'd wanted to write about that particular cliche occurring, oddly enough I would have written about that - the very fact that I wrote about Something Else Altogether might be a hint that I didn't want to write about that. Feel free to write about that cliche yourself, however *I* don't feel inclined to.

Some days...

Number three also applies to actors. :-P I'm very unpopular right now for daring to say my boy is a jerk when he shows how fuckin' weight prejudiced he is....

I'm well-familiar with the person you reference in #1 as she's been on the OZ lists, too, for awhile now. Honestly, I don't think she means any harm; just, she has an instatiable appetite for fic and an unfortunately very tactless and clumsy way of asking for more. She's received much the same reaction there as she did on mfuslash today. You'd think she would, but sadly, she doesn't learn...

And on a completely different note... :g: Am starting on your MS3 fic this week and wanted to make sure you're okay with receiving it back in Word rather than Notepad? I always do a bit of formatting for the zine when I first start editing.

Character A stared soulfully into Character B's eyes. "Oh, my darling A, how I've longed to see you again!" They moved together for a kiss...

Oh, and as far as I'm concerned, people can ask me to write whatever they like, cliche or not. I just probably won't. I might, but I probably won't.

I'm afraid that the only one that really made me blink was the one where someone suggested I write a sequel to "Parallax" where Sara gets hit by a bus. Well, and someone asked me if I would write her mpreg. Only if it's slapstick! ;) (Jack: "Jesus, what did you eat? You smell like feet! You go gargle before you come over here or I'm going to puke!")
