Good thing the lunar eclipse was last night, when it was nice and clear, since tonight looks like being quite cloudy.

In other news, my UNCLE fic is rapidly approaching 13,000 words and still there is much dancing around the subject in question. I think I know where it's going, but it's all so coy at the moment that I'm not sure how much action there's actually going to be - not that this is necessarily a bad thing, but sometimes people feel cheated if there's not the hot monkey sex! ;)

Also, I must say in defence of last night's episode of Primeval, that it's a long time since I've been so entertained by such a serious block of cheese. Seriously, who thought up the whole killer dodo plotline and why is it that it was still a thousand times better than the most recent SG-1 episode? Oh, I know! It's because it wasn't written by Mallozzi and Mullie! Though they could have improved their episode massively by having Daniel answering the door in his skivvies...

'quite cloudy' here means it's been peeing it down all day. So it was a very good thing the eclipse was last night.

And I loved last night's Primeval. Nick, bless him, makes a perfect victim-of-evil-wife. Stephen is still a bit of an arse, but he's pretty. And rampaging Dodos was a wonderful storyline, but the poor Dodos! I'm so pleased this is getting another series. Hopefully it'll be more than 6 episodes, but even 6 more is better than none.

How do they manage to say lines like "they're attack dodos!" with a straight face?

And yes, I was pleased to hear it had been renewed too, cheesiness and all...

It's brilliant that they can say these lines with a straight face - it makes it all so much more interesting. I was going to say 'realistic' but...

Sadly the previews have something bad happening next week with Claudia and Nick. Good grief, is there any show on the planet that doesn't go for the idea that a woman and a man must somehow fall for one another. Claudia is a bitch (though not on the scale of Helen) and there have been no sparks whatsoever between her and Nick. Why oh why oh why would they have them kissing? *sigh*

Maybe they've noticed the fact that Nick seems more interested in Stephen (or his special forces boyfriend) and now desperately need to recode them as straight? Also, pterosaurs! Eep! ;)

Torchwood!

I think there have been sparks, but unfortunately they're only in the scriptwriters' heads.

Did you hide behind the sofa when they were making Gwen go all goo-goo eyes over Jack (and much good it did her!) and then shag Owen?

No -- the epic levels of fucked up hiding behind Gwen's thin veneer of sanity was a source of endless joy. There are so few series with squalid, loveless office affairs in them.

The recreation of the 'Jurassic Park' kitchen scene, but with dodos, was pure class. It almost made up for the rest of the episode.

Yes, they clearly couldn't resist the kitchen scenario.

It was made even more amusing for me by the fact that the music they chose (Clubfoot, by Kasabian) was the soundtrack to a Life on Mars vid I'd been watching a couple of hours earlier... ;)
