So far, so meh

How it goes: woken up at 6.15am by a lorry delivering something for the building site across the road. Realised I felt unwell (*pauses to consider that for a moment there I backspaced to type 'realized' instead before I stopped myself and typed it properly, since I am writing stuff for US-published zines at the moment*) in a generally achy-mehness kind of way rather than something specific, but couldn't roll over and stuff my head under the pillow like I wanted because I would have to phone in sick as close to 8.30am as I could possibly manage.
Propped myself in front of the computer with coffee while I waited for 8.30am. Told work I had a stomach bug because it's too much like hard work to justify general mehness, particularly since I was okay yesterday. Was back in bed by 8.32am and pretty much asleep as my head hit the pillow.
Up again at about 1pm and ate something, then watched Heroes. Which was all kinds of awesome, apart from Chris Eccleston's haircut which is the only one I've seen on the show that makes Peter's emo!hair look good. Seriously, Chris, what were you thinking? Also, ickle!Hiro. Heh. I can't say enough good things about the coolness of a show that sets someone like Mr Benneet up as the Big Bad and then runs an episode that pretty much redeems him completely. Had to then scout around for a preview for next week's episode which also looks like all sorts of awesome as well! *wonders if Mohinder will stop being decorative and dumb as implied in preview*
Back to bed then, about 3pm and up again just before Stargate SG-1 but this season has been so uneven I've been recording them so I can zoom past anything that isn't either Daniel or Teal'c. Which means some episodes are real Director's Cut things down to about 10 minutes, but I don't see how that's necessarily a bad thing. Am now thinking about going back to bed again and am unlikely to go to work tomorrow unless I wake up spontaneously at a work-related time and feel 100% better than I do now.
Oh, and my favourite episode of Angel was on last night, so I just had to watch it. Words can hardly express how much I love 'Smile Time', both from the Angel-as-puppet aspect and the 'oh god, can Wesley look any hotter?' aspect. I'm particularly fond of the black turtleneck and brown suede jacket look. And I always turn off before the icky last couple of minutes, which did not happen in my universe because Wesley isn't interested in girls that way (except Lilah and Faith, both of whom interest him in quite another way altogether). ;)
